Red Rose is a canoe club that formed from the burning embers of Lancaster University's Old Boys teams. We still have strong ties with Lancaster University Canoe Club, supporting them with coaching and opportunities to play outside of the Uni teams.
We are situated in the North-West/South Cumbria but attend most tournaments where we can. We are not currently entering any leagues independently as we go through a rebuild, members do play in the combined Cumbria Teams in Regional and National League and we aim to get to Summer Open's and Internationals where possible.
The club is trying to rebuild after many members moved away during and post covid with youth and general development sessions now running in association with Cumbria Canoeists & Lakeland CC at Kendal Leisure Centre through the winter and Killington Resevoir in the warmer months.
