Pool Sessions are held at Kendal Leisure Centre, currently on Saturday afternoons approx 2 per month (dependent on pool availability) from September through to April.

Jan 2026: 17th. - We’ve had a lot of interest. and this date is now full.

Feb 2026: 7th, 14th, 21st.
Mar 2026: 28th.
Apr 2026: 11th, 25th.
Format: 3 x 45m mins sessions split as follows:
16:00 - 16:45: Beginner Kayak and boat skills, first session is primarily for beginners to get used to being in boats and learn/practice basic skills with coaches where applicable, if pool space available more experienced paddlers can get on to work on boat skills (No balls)
16:45 - 17:30: Beginner/Intro to Polo, a chance for those from the first session to get a go at polo plus other paddlers to get involved and develop their basic polo skills.
17:30 - 18:15 - Advance polo or Women/Girls Polo, 'alternating' weeks between the two options.
Advanced Polo: Open to anyone, suggested min standard is a comfortable role and some prior polo experience.
Women/Girls: Open to all Females, suggested min standard is having comfortable boat control
Cost: We have received a grant from Cumbria Canoesists to assist with beginner youth and Womens sessions and thus have a reduced cost.
Women / U16's: £5 for each 45min session upto a max of £10 per person.
Over 16's: £10 for first 45mins, £5 for next 45mins upto £20 total..
